Welcome to the first annual June Institute for Schools at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines Iowa!  

We hope you find what you need across this 3-day event focused on supports in the areas of literacy, mathematics, social-emotional-behavioral well-being and mental health, subgroups, and culture/climate! This site is for all attendees to have access to presenters and session materials.  This is not where you register.    

Please note that registration must be completed within the AEA Registration System, and that special sessions are pre-registration only. Registration links for the Conference and Special Sessions are located HERE.

Patti Hershfeldt, Ed.D.

Center for Social Behavior Support, Old Dominion University
Patti Hershfeldt, Ed.D,  is the Co-Director of the Center for Social Behavior Support at Old Dominion University. Dr. Hershfeldt as an Implementer Partner with the National Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). In her role with the Center, she assists with implementation of PBIS by providing training and technical assistance to states and districts, specific to high school implementation, across the country. She is the co-coordinator of the APBS High School Network. Both of which address the need for high school implementers to form a community for engaging in shared problem solving and collaboration.  Hershfeldt’s research interests include implementation in high schools, equity, youth voice, and coaching and has published in these areas.
