A reminder to complete the ESSA June Institute EVALUATION for both Day 1 and Day 2!

Welcome to the first annual June Institute for Schools at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines Iowa!  

We hope you find what you need across this 3-day event focused on supports in the areas of literacy, mathematics, social-emotional-behavioral well-being and mental health, subgroups, and culture/climate! This site is for all attendees to have access to presenters and session materials.  This is not where you register.    

Please note that registration must be completed within the AEA Registration System, and that special sessions are pre-registration only. Registration links for the Conference and Special Sessions are located HERE.

Jen Adams is an Education Program Consultant in the Bureau of School Improvement for the Iowa Department of Education. She is a school psychologist and MTSS enthusiast, keenly interested in student outcomes and teacher supports. In her work with early warning systems, she often hears questions such as “...but what about this subgroup?”  The unique learner characteristics of students must be addressed and integrated into high expectations and robust instructional responses of systems. Jen has worked in special education at Iowa AEAs and data/continuous improvement on the general education side of things. Her passion is fully integrated systems that deliver quality educational experiences to students through effective and efficient system infrastructures and ongoing data-based decision-making.
