Welcome to the first annual June Institute for Schools at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines Iowa!  

We hope you find what you need across this 3-day event focused on supports in the areas of literacy, mathematics, social-emotional-behavioral well-being and mental health, subgroups, and culture/climate! This site is for all attendees to have access to presenters and session materials.  This is not where you register.    

Please note that registration must be completed within the AEA Registration System, and that special sessions are pre-registration only. Registration links for the Conference and Special Sessions are located HERE.

Diagnosing Early Literacy Needs - DAY 1

This five-part workshop focuses on diagnosing early literacy needs as part of the MTSS system and is geared toward building/district leadership teams and teachers supporting effective instruction for persistently struggling K-6 readers.  Participants will learn key processes for teams to use to diagnose system needs to support effective instruction and tools to diagnose specific curricular needs of persistently struggling readers.  This workshop aligns to Iowa's MTSS work developed through C4K and uses the C4K Intervention System Guide as a key resource.
